Friday 5 for May 16: Old, YoungWhat makes you feel old? Thinking about the fact that I now have two grown children and one grandchild. There is no way I am old enough for that!
What makes you feel young? My granddaughter, Bailey.
What was better when you were allowed to do it the old way? The family unit was better when Mom was able to stay home and be there for the kids.
What’s better now that you do it the new way? I think being able to research something on line is way better than having to look something up in an encyclopedia. Books become outdated so quickly and the internet is up to the minute.
What’s something you are old school about? We try and have a family dinner (sit down at the table, home cooked food, meaningful conversation) at least four nights a week.

I'm a year younger than you and no grandweans on the horizon for years yet. - I was a late starter! You're still so young so that you get more enjoyment out of it!..

I agree with you about the moms staying home thing but as a mom who wanted to curl up and die when she stayed home, I am glad I have the option to tag-team parent with my husband so I can have a job while, at the same time, my kids stay out of a daycare setting.
I also agree with you about the encyclopedia thing. Recently my 2nd grader did a thing for school that asked them to classify whether a certain thing would be found in a dictionary, thesaurus, or an encyclopedia. He looks at me and goes "What's an encyclopedia"? OOps. I think we use the internet a *bit* too much here. LOL
