Project Life Week 14-19, 2012

I got motivated last night to complete a couple more pages in my Project Life album, so here we are:

Week 13

Week 14

Week 15

Week 16 has a smaller page protector with memorabilia from the Tucson Desert Museum.

Week 17

Week 18

Week 19 also has a small page protector - with my Mother's Day cards included.

I still have some non Project Life layouts I want to share - possibly tomorrow.

Happy Monday!

Project Life Weeks 4-12, 2012

Even though I haven't been posting on my blog, I have still be scrapping.  Here are weeks 4-12 of Project Life for 2012.

I am working on the other week of Project Life.  I used one of the 6x6 page protectors and my local store doesn't print in that size so I have to wait for photos to put in the page protector.  I am still enjoying the process, some weeks more than others.

I will posting another long post with the other scrapbook pages I have done in the past few months.  I have been paper scrapbooking and although it is messier and takes long, I LOVE being back into the creative mood and creating paper pages (vs digital).

Happy Sunday!

Rainy Saturday

There is a tropical depression in the Gulf that is causing most of Florida to be rainy.  It has been overcast for a couple of days now and rainy yesterday and today.  I was going to scrapbook today but got caught up in updating my blog.  I totally redesigned it and I really like the way it came out.  It might help me to post on here more.

I am going to work on some photos from Bella's birthday party earlier in the month.  So hopefully, later this weekend I will have some pages to show you.

Project Life Week 3 2012

I am loving Project Life and doing it at my own pace.  I am a number of weeks behind but I have been taking photos and collecting memorabilia and will get to it when I can.

I am working on...okay, wait for it...organizing my scrap room and supplies once again.  I was watching Stacy Julian's videos on sorting your supplies by color and it totally clicked with me.  So, I purchased some folding fabric bins and some clear plastic jars and I am sorting.  Enjoying the process as well since I am retaking my guest room as a craft room.

I signed up to be a Close to My Heart consultant (again) and am super excited about all this company has to offer.  Right now I am just doing it as a hobby but I have been successful in the past with classes so I might do the business end at one point.

And can I tell you how great I have been feeling both physically and emotionally since getting my hands dirty with ink and breathing in the awesome smell of a new package of paper?  Weird, I know, but I kinda live by the words "Whatever makes you happy" and scrapbooking makes me really happy.

Have a great Saturday afternoon.  Check back tomorrow for my March Round-up.

Project Life Week 1 2012

Left page are pictures of the girls, a card from church, journaling.  Right page is a cute owl I found online that I loved.
Left Page is my new year's resolution and my word for 2012.  Right page is more daily photos and journaling.

I am loving the process of Project Life, I am loving looking for things to include in the album.  Fun stuff.

Project Life Title Page(s)

I found the Project Life 6 x 12 title page on Cathy Zielske's blog.
I found the Happy New Year 2012 on the web.  My title page has pictures of each of my kids, grandkids and their significant others.  I am using up a lot of stickers and embellishments that are in my stash to decorate my pages.

Monday, Monday

I do not like Mondays - I work all weekend and feel like I get nothing accomplished.  That might be because I have a four year old here all weekend?

So, another project on my huge long to do list is to move my scrapbook pages and albums into the new albums I purchased.

I decided on the American Crafts 12''x12'' Cloth D-Ring in black. I have ordered 15 of them already and have one filled.  I hate the way my albums look on the bookcase.  I have some Creative Memories strap hinge albums in an ugly green, I have all colors of Dalee, Close to My Heart and other post bound albums - many with the spine coming off since I put so many pages in my albums.  And then I have hundreds of completed pages that have no album home.  So, I purchased these new albums and plan to change over each of my albums and get the bookcase looking streamlined.

I am making round tags to label my albums and have come up with this design.
I am going to make each year a different color and mount them on metal rimmed tags and attach them to the spine of the albums with foam tape.  I haven't decided what I am going to put in the square frame on the front of the albums.  I have a huge job ahead of me but I am so looking forward to it.

New Year, New Outlook

So, it's been like forever since I have blogged. I guess I got caught up in Facebook, Pinterest and life in general. But I am back with a renew sense of what I want to accomplish.

I am going to participate in Project Life this year. I am going to make it my own and do it my way. And I am excited about doing that. I plan to share my pages as they are completed. And if you are interested, my daily pictures will be posted here.

My life has taken a major detour once again. Dave (the BF not the ex) called way back in October - just to catch me up on what was going on in his life. He had opened a thrift store in Naples and I took Bailey there and it was like the last 18 months hadn't passed by. I also realized that I couldn't marry Bill when I had such strong feelings about someone (really anyone) else. Dave and I met for coffee a couple of times, had dinner and I couldn't live with the guilt. (I really don't know how people have affairs - I don't have energy enough for it) I came home and told Bill - he knew about the phone call - and as hurt as he was, he had seen it coming. So, no wedding, no beach honeymoon, no happily ever after. BUT, Dave and I are back together - things are going really well - and I am happy. The heart knows what the heart wants.

My word for this year is SIMPLIFY.

And my New Year's resolutions
  • Attend church more often
  • Get into God's word more
  • Appreciate the little things in life
  • And SIMPLIFY!

Happy New Year everyone!
