Today's Saturday Social Question:
How is your summer going so far?
We have had a graduation, an 18th birthday and a 1st birthday, and a Micheal Bolton concert and overnight hotel stay. We have also had two job losses, a minor car crash, two car a/c problems, and a variety of other personal problems. So, all in all, a typical family summer.

I can't remember winning anything big, but the lottery sounds nice. Oh wait, I guess you have to play the lottery to win the lottery!

Today's Saturday Social Question:
Do you have any pets?

We have three cats and two dogs. Oreo, our black and white cat, was a gift from Dave shortly after we met. She was mean and would bite your ankles and attack from under the bed and the couch. So, we decided to get another cat, Radio. Radio was from the Humane Society and he calmed Oreo down. He is a gentle, loving cat.

Next is Baby. Baby is our 4 1/2 pound teacup Yorkshire Terrier. She had a tongue that is a mile long and loves to give kisses. Then there is Buddy. We call Buddy our Wal-Mart dog because we bought him in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. Brent fell in love with this little bundle of black and white fluff and he came home with us. He is an adorable dog, loves to cuddle and sleeps right at our feet.

The last addition to our zoo is Foxy. Foxy adopted Brandon in a parking lot and she went to his Dad's house for a few weeks. Brandon's Dad decided that he didn't want the cat so she came to live at our house. She is a large, long black cat and is very loving. When she wants to be petted she climbs in your lap and nips you on your ears or chin to make sure you pet her. She must have had a broken tail at one time because the tip of her tail is bent. So that is the zoo that lives at our house.

Today's Saturday Social Question:
Have you seen any good movies lately?

The last movie I saw at the movie theatre was Kung Fu Panda. It was really cute. The other movie that I saw lately that I really enjoyed was The Other Boleyn Girl. I had no idea how scandalous that movie was.

Today's Saturday Social Question:
How do you keep the spark and excitement in your relationship/marriage? Fortunately Dave and I really like each other so we spend a great deal of time together. We like to go to dinner and concerts and we try to get away at least for a long weekend a couple of times a year. One thing that has really helped keep the spark is the fact that my kids are only with us every other week so we have time to ourselves. (Right now I have the boys full time due to circumstances but for four plus years the week on, week off schedule has been in place).

Do you have any siblings and do you get along with them?

I have one sister four years younger than me and we have our ups and downs. We get together for family events but don't talk on the phone much. We both have three children but she is single and I have been in a stable relationship for five years. We are just at different places in our lives right now.

What is the first thing you would do if you won the lottery? The very first thing I would do is hire an attorney to make an airtight settlement to Dave's lovely ex-wife on her alimony. Second thing, pay off my house and car.

Today's Saturday Social Question:
It is Memorial Day weekend here in the United States... do you have any big plans or traditions?
My Answer: We don't have any traditions or big plans. This weekend happens to be my son's high school graduation so we are celebrating that this weekend. Otherwise, we usually just enjoy a day off of school and work and cook something on the grill.

Today's Saturday Social Question:
What are your plans for Mother's Day?

I know my boys will be here for Mother's Day. Dave is cooking steak and baked potatoes for dinner. Other than that, I just plan to relax and enjoy the day with my children.

I have a nice card and I plan to get some flowers for Nicole for her first Mother's Day. I also have a nice card and the DVD 27 Dresses for my Mom. She got her big Mother's Day gift early with an Arbonne gift certificate.

Today's Saturday Social Question:
Are you taking any vacations/holidays this summer?
I would love to take a vacation but with Dave's demanding boss I don't know if we will get away. I would love to take some time and go to Aiken, SC. This is the town we plan to retire to when Brent is out of school and we can sell the townhouse. I would also like to visit my grandmother in PA and my ultimate trip would be to Washington DC. I know we will take a few long weekends for bead shows or just to get away.

Today's Saturday Social Question:
What do you plan on doing with your tax rebate check (economic stimulus package)? Well, I have been thinking about that. I would love to get the screened patio enlarged. We poured a pad about two years ago but just haven't had the extra money to get the screen enclosure enlarged so I might do that. It would double the square footage in that area.
