I signed up for LOAD 513 which is Layout A Day May 2013. Each day for May there will be a new prompt all centered around the game Clue. It is day 5 and I haven't done one layout that went with a prompt but I did get five layouts done this weekend. I guess it doesn't matter what gets me scrapbooking.
I get a couple of kits each month in the mail and one of my favorites is from Scrapbook Generation. You get enough supplies to make five double page scrapbook layouts including sketches. I usually buy a few more sheets of patterned paper and some embellishments so that I can make a few more pages. This is the kit I worked with this weekend. It is called Down by the Shore and is by Fancy Pants. I made two double page layouts - the first one is Bailey at the beach. She went with a friend of her Dad's and it looks like she had a great time.
The second double page layout is of Nicole's end of school year party at Sun n Fun Lagoon. I think she was in the eighth grade.
I had so many good photos of the girls that I made a third page. I used Down by the Shore rub-ons with gelatos like Wilna did here.
I am up to ten pages completed this year which is way below my average. Since my classes are done until August maybe I will get more scrapbooking done.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Use Your Stuff Challenge #78
The challenge this week at Use Your Stuff is to use the color green. Green is not my favorite color but I thought the green, black and cream came together rather well.
I went to my Mom and Dad's for lunch today wearing a green shirt. I stopped by the office at my park and the gal who works in the office told me how nice I looked in my green shirt. Then my Mom told me how nice I looked in my green shirt. So, I guess I better rethink green!

Chic Tags Challenge Sunday
I really liked the sketch challenge on Chic Tags Challenge Sunday this week and this is my interpretation of it. Sorry the one photo is so dark - it was taken on my phone.

Use Your Stuff Challenge #76
I came across the blog Use Your Stuff and I love the concept. I used the sketch they provided and made this layout of my sweet granddaughter Bella on New Year's Eve.
I have more photos so will do a companion page later.
Shimelle Inspired Layout
This layout was inspired by a class that Shimelle Laine did for Two Peas in 2011. I love the way she uses full 4x6 photos in her layouts. Photos are of my youngest, he is 17 and a rather nice looking young man.

Project Life Week 1
This is certainly not my first year starting a Project Life project. I have started it at least five years in a row in some form or another - 2009 I did a digital Project 365 version and actually completed that one. The next three years I did some form of Project Life but none of them are finished. And I may or may not finish my 2013 Project Life album but I want to at least give it the old college try. I am not using a kit this year but am pulling pieces together from the ever growing stash that I have. I am using Simple Stories Sn@p collection for the color pallet.
Some ideas that I have adapted for my own Project Life - the tile for each week will be shown on The Week of - including a calendar for the month with the week highlighted. I am also including a currently insert and a week in review insert. Week 1 is complete and the Title Page is half done - need to print a 6' x 12" photo.
