Sunday Scrappin

It's Sunday after Christmas and time for Sunday Scrappin'. I got a lot accomplished this week - all for my December Daily album. I am almost all caught up - just one page to do, then Christmas day and the rest of December.

First is a Things To Do list. I started making these lists a few years ago to help me remember the things I wanted to do or see during the holidays.
This page is of my roses that I got after my graduation.
One of the things on my to do list - Christmas treats at Rita's.
A craft transformation.
A filler page from Shimelle Laine.
Another filler page with everyone's wish list.
Baking day.
My crazy sweetheart.
Another to do list item - yummy holiday coffee at Starbucks.
Bailey enjoying donuts.
The next too are wrapping presents.

Holiday Menus.
Weather.
Christmas Eve.

To do's for this week include:

  • Finish my December Daily album and send it for printing.
  • Clean off my desk
  • Enjoy my week off work

Our challenge for this week will be to share one resolution you want to make for the new year. Maybe you want to challenge yourself to do a certain number of page layouts this coming year?

I have many resolutions but I do want to scrapbook more. The past three years I have set a goal of 365 pages but I haven't reached that goal. I will make that goal again because it keeps me motivated to finish a greater number of pages than if I didn't have a goal. Have a great week and see you next year!

Sunday Scrappin

It's Sunday and time to share on Sunday Scrappin'. Until I went to upload my pages I didn't realize how much I had accomplished this week. I am working on my Holiday album, a December daily of sorts.

These pages are in the wrong order but you will get the gist of what I am doing. My last two complete pages are from the 9th of December. I graduated with my AA degree and it was a pretty big deal to me.

I so enjoy Christmas music.
The kitties love Christmas too.
This photo was a freebie from Wal-Mart. Didn't it turn out great?
Nicole, Bailey and I had a blast at Snow Fest.

Decorating my entertainment center.

The tree and the stockings.
Another family tradition - watching Christmas movies.
And reading Christmas books.
My to-do's for next week are the same as last week:
  1. Keep up with my December Daily.
  2. Enjoy the holiday season and spend time with the people I love.
I shared a couple of traditions in my pages - Christmas movies and books. Have a great week!

Sunday Scrappin

Let me just make a statement. I am thoroughly enjoying the holiday season. I have spent time with my family and have done some fun, holiday type things and as Bailey would say "I am happy!"

I am not all caught up with my holiday album but I do have some more pages to share and many more pictures to post.

Here are two pages for November 27 when Bill and I took his daughters to downtown Naples to see the lights.

November 28 Bill and I went to a holiday skating show.

November 29 is a page about Bailey and me going to the library and her love of books.

My to-do's for next week are the same as last week:
  1. Keep up with my December Daily.
  2. Enjoy the holiday season and spend time with the people I love.

Kid's Say the Darnest Things.

I must give you some background information before starting this story. Many years ago, when the kids were little, before they understood that they should say "excuse me" after burping, their dad and I started saying "God, bless you" after they burped. It was a silly, funny way to remind them to remember to excuse themselves.

I had the pleasure of Miss Bailey Boo's company this weekend. I had sneezed a couple of times and she knew to say something but wasn't sure what. I told her to say "God bless you" and of course, her version was "God bless you, Nana!" Later that day or maybe even the next day, she burped and out of habit, I said "God bless you." Bailey comes back with "No, Nana, that wasn't a God bless you, it was a burp!" Honest and funny too! Gotta love this kid!

Sunday Scrappin

I am doing a cross between Ali Edward's December Daily and Jessica Sprague's Holidays in Hand. I did something similar last year and am super excited about doing it again this year. I took ideas from Daily Digi's holiday planner and made it my own. Here is the title page and page 1 and 2 for November 26. I start the day after Thanksgiving since that is when I really start thinking about Christmas. The album will be 8 1/2" x 11".

My to-do's for next week are:
  1. Keep up with my December Daily.
  2. Enjoy the holiday season and spend time with the people I love.

Sunday Scrappin

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted on my blog. Sad thing is, I haven't been crafty much during that time either. But, I finally had a moment of inspiration and came up with something that is already making my life easier.

I crafted a holiday planner. I found this sweet spiral bound notebook at Michael's for $1.00!
Made two pockets for the front and back covers. Cut cardstock and patterned paper to fit the inside pages and created the labels in Photoshop and then printed them out. Stapled a folded piece of ribbon on each divider page and voila, I have a holiday planner.

My to-do list this week is just to craft something. I so want to craft but can't find the motivation to actually do. Maybe once my classes are over in early December I will get motivated.

Have a great Sunday!
