28 Days - Day 28

Well I can finally call it done. My 28 Days class that is. It took WAY longer than 28 days but it was fun. The photo prompt for Day 28 was to take a picture of ourselves. Which I did not do. Oh well.

The project for Day 28 was to take some not so great pictures and create a layout. I created a two page layout cause that is what I like to create.

28 Days - Day 26

I am finally getting finished with my BPS class 28 Days. This is Day 26 and the photo prompt is the bedroom. I recently purchased all new bedding - gold sheets, a black striped duvet cover and a down duvet.

The project for Day 26 was four more inspiration cards for our Inspiration File. I went through a catalog and tore out some things that I find inspiring along with a great quote.

I only have one more day from my 28 Days class to finish. The project is almost done but I haven't taken the picture yet. I really want to finish this class this weekend.

28 Days - Day 21

I am almost finished with my 28 Days class from Big Picture Scrapbooking. I have two more projects and one picture to take and I will have completed the class. This is Day 21. The picture prompt for today was flowers or plants. This is the gorgeous lily that Nicole got me for Mother's Day. I do not do well with plants but this one is still alive nearly a month after I received it
The project for Day 21 was to create a layout with a Memory Sparkler. The Memory Sparkler that I chose was where do I go for "me" time? My scrap/craft room is rather new but I do spend a lot of time in there!

28 Days - Day 24

These photos are for Day 24 of my 28 Days class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. The photo prompt was to take a picture from the front door. I took two pictures since I wasn't excited about the view of the vans from the front door. So, I took a second picture that shows the yard and the bird feeders.
The project for day 24 was to alter a bread board. This was a fun project. I had to have Dave stop at A.C. Moore and pick up some Glue Dots to attach the flowers and the buttons. What a great guy!

28 Days - Day 27

Here is my photo of my date book for Day 27 of my 28 Days class from Big Picture Scrapbooking. I know, another picture of Bailey!

Good news, only four more days of my class and I will have completed it! I have the photos taken for three of the days and the projects started for two of the days.

The project for Day 27 was to create a journal entry about your family. This was a time consuming project since we used gesso and paint. Cleaning paintbrushes and waiting for paint to dry!

28 Days - Day 23

Something you display was the picture prompt for Day 23 for my 28 Days class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. I have an awesome collection of head vases that I started collecting about 6-7 years ago. My grandmother had started collecting them and I just loved them so started my own collection!

The project for Day 23 was to create a layout from an inspirational ad. I don't keep old magazines so finding an ad that would do was hard. But I found this one in Oprah and loved that it used a large photo. Better to show off Bailey Boo!

28 Days - Day 18

The photo prompt for Day 18 of my 28 Days class at Big Picture Scrapbooking was a sign or a billboard. Since A.C.Moore is my favorite craft store I thought this was a great shot for a sign.
The project for Day 18 was to create a mini-album. We have been taking pictures of Bailey with her Build-a-Bear each month on her birthdate. This is the first ten months of pictures in a mini-album. Isn't she a sweetie pie?

28 Days - Day 20

The picture promt for Day 20 of my 28 Days class from Big Picture Scrapbooking was your living room. So, here is my livingroom.

And the project for Day 20 was to do a journal entry about your favorite month. This was a fun project to do!

28 Days - Day 17

I have finished a few more days of my 28 Days class from Big Picture Scrapbooking. This is Day 17. The photo prompt today was something colorful. I thought our collection of M & M Memorabilia fit that description. Dave has installed shelves all around the craft room and I get to look at the bright and cheery M & M guys when I am crafting.
The project for Day 17 was to create a layout about a favorite object or gift. I did a layout about the first Christmas Dave and I spent together. It was a very special time and he made me feel like I was a princess (and still does).

28 Days - Day 25

Last post for now. This is Day 25 of my 28 Days class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. The photo prompt for Day 25 was mode of transportation. I have the boring ole' mini van. I love my van. I will probably have a van long after my kids are all grown up (what am I talking about, two are already grown!). I love the space it has and I always have enough room for one more person.
The project for Day 25 was to create a tag with a favorite photo. This photo is of Bailey on the floor playing with our dog Buddy. They were having such a good time and she was laughing so hard. And I think the tag is adorable!

28 Days - Day 22

Ok, here is Day 22 of my 28 Days class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. Picture prompt today was laundry. Here is nice big laundry basket full of clean and folded clothes that need to be put away. Any volunteers?

The project for Day 22 was to create a file folder card. This was a fun card to make. My son Brandon turns 18 on June 27th so I thought it would be fun to create a card for him. I thought it turned out cute and I know I will make more cards based on this idea

28 Days - Day 19

Again, another update on my 28 Days class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. The picture prompt on Day 19 was a picture of your scrap area. I am very lucky to have a whole room devoted to my scrapbooking (and other crafts). I love my room, it is at the top of the stairs so I can hear what is going on with the boys and the animals. I have a small tv and a radio and all is good!
The project for Day 19 was to create a bookmark from a tag. I really like the way this turned out. It was quick and easy and would make a cute gift to give along with a book or a gift card to a book store.

28 Days - Day 16

Ok, I fell seriously behind on my 20 Days class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. So now I am playing catch up. Picture prompt for Day 16 was a pile of ...whatever. I choose my boxes in my family room. Now, since I have taken this picture this pile is gone! And another taller pile of boxes has taken it's place. We are trying to get our storage unit cleaned out so I am working on getting rid of stuff. I have listed a ton on eBay, gave about four boxes of stuff to my daughter and thrown out a lot of crap!
The project for Day 16 was to create four cards for our rolodex inspiration file that used our favorite stamps. Since it has been so long since I used stamps I really didn't have any favoriates but I was able to come up with my four rolodex cards.

28 Days - Day 14

The photo prompt for Day 14 of 28 Days was something yummy. One of our favorite places to go is SweeTreats. They mix all sorts of goodies in soft serve ice cream. My mom, Brent and I went to SweeTreats and had something yummy!
The project for Day 14 was to alter a frame. I purchased the frame this hot pink color so didn't cover the whole frame with paper. I stamped the flourish in the corner, stamped the words on the small pieces of paper, added some buttons, some ribbon and Mod Podged everthing down. Then I added a picture of my favorite scrapbooking subject right now - my granddaughter Bailey.

28 Days - Day 10

Day 10 of 28 Days. Picture Prompt was a place you want to go but haven't yet. So I chose a restaurant that we have been meaning to try. They serve sushi and thai food. We just need to find someone to go with us to help us order!
Day 10 of 28 Days Project was to create an entry in your journal about 50 of your favorite things. This was a fun project and I have a blast going through all my stickers and finding stuff I loved!

28 Days - Day 11

The photo prompt for Day 11 was street sign. So, I took my trusty camera and walked to the entrance to our development and took a picture of our street sign. I live on Summit Place Circle.

Day 11's project was to make four cards for our Rolodex Inspiration File. I finally determined that I was over-thinking this project and just picked out paper and embellishments that matched and viola! I have four cards for my Inspiration File!
