Sunday Scrappin'

Another week has flown by and it is the end of June. Today I am having the whole family over for a late Father's Day celebration and we are celebrating a couple of birthdays as well.

I am so excited that I finished another big project that I started before I moved. It's not the one that has been on my to-do list for the past couple of weeks but it is completed and I am happy about that. It is from Cathy Zielske's Me The Abridged Version class from Big Picture Scrapbooking. I titled my album An Encyclopedia of My Ordinary Life and you can see it here.

Along with that project I also did a two page layout from Jessica Sprague's Photoshop Friday series.

My to-do's for next week: (the exact same as last week)
  1. Continue working on the This is Me album. I was too busy working on other projects to work on this this week but hopefully I will get to it this week.
  2. Continue working on my eBay business. Didn't get a thing listed this week. I really need to find some balance in my life.
  3. I started a beaded Christmas ornament kit and I want to work on that. I haven't watched much TV this week so I haven't done much on my ornament kits.
I didn't get anything done for the challenge last week which was to scrapbook an unusual summer activity.

Have a great day, a good week and happy Sunday Scrappin'!

Another Project Finished

I want to share with you another finished project. Again, this is not the project I started out to finish but it is finished none the less. I started working on Cathy Zielke's class Me, The Abridged Version sometime in September 2009. And then I moved and everything craft related got put on a back burner. Well, this week I found the pages I had completed in September and got going on finishing the book. It was an awesome experience based on the book Encyclopedia of My Life which is what I titled my album.

Spring Reading Thing 2010 Wrap-Up

I love to read and I read a lot of books but the Spring Reading Thing 2010 made me set a goal and almost meet my goal.

Here is my original list:
  1. Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews - Read it and loved it.
  2. Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult - Read it and loved it.
  3. Designer Knockoff by Ellen Byerrum - Read it, fun, fast read
  4. A Girl Like Moi by Lisa Barham - Read it, a teen book but fun
  5. Daughter's Keeper by Ayalet Waldman - Read it, loved it.
  6. Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris - Am about half way done with this. I can't understand why I like these vampire books but I do.
  7. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll - Tried to read it, was this guy on drugs when he wrote this?
  8. Bright Child, Poor Grades by Barry & Patricia Bricklin - started it, not sure if it will help where I need help, it's an old book.
  9. A Kiss Remembered by Sandra Brown - Read it, a little too romancey for my taste but ok.
So out of nine books I have finished six, started two more and decided not to read it. And I finished two other books that weren't on my list and and started one other.
  1. Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man by Tim Allen - Read it, made me laugh.
  2. The Sexy Years by Suzanne Sommers - Reading it.
  3. The Choice by Nicholas Sparks - Read it, loved it.
So, a good final tally - 8 books read and three others started. Can't wait for the next reading challenge.

Sunday Scrappin'

It's Father's Day and time for Sunday Scrappin'. I have been busy digi scrapping this week. My head in not in a good place right now and when I am digi scrapping it keeps me grounded, so digi scrap I did. Here is a slide show of all the layouts I got done this week.

The biggest accomplishment is My 365 for 2009 project is done. I even sent away for the actual pages for most of the layouts. That is a big project off my to do list. I also got caught up my Project Life 2010 and sent away for the photos for the album.

Not on my to-do list last week but something I am glad I finished up is here.

My to-do's for next week:
I didn't get anything done for the challenge last week which was to do something Dad related. This week's challenge is to scrapbook an unusual summer activity. Should be fun to figure out something for the challenge.

Have a great day, a good week and happy Sunday Scrappin'!

A Snapshot of My Life

Sometimes I start on one activity and get caught up in another. I was going to try and work on a project I started last year titled This is Me. It was a class I took at Big Picture Scrapbooking and I got it about 1/3 of the way done. Well, while I was looking for materials for that project I ran across another half finished project - A Snapshot of My Life 2009. It was taken from a blog that no longer exists. I choose to do it in a 6" x 12" album and so I just created a 12' x 12" layout and when I got it printed I cut it in half to fit in the album. I found the album, all of the printed pages, some cut, some not. I went to eBay and ordered more page protectors and this morning I put the album together. Here it is in it's entirety. I love that it captures our day to day life.
